Thank you so much for your interest in my photography services. I understand that these are once in a lifetime moments and I feel strongly that you should take time to select a photographer who is a good match for you and your family. You want to be able to look back at this special time in your life and remember these moments that you were too tired to enjoy and went by too fast to soak in. So how do you choose the perfect photographer in a world with so many choices? I can't answer that exactly for you, but I can tell you why I think you should hire me...
Experience...
I have been photographing babies, children and families since 2004, that is over 12 years of experiences. I've literally watched "my" little babies grow up in front of my camera lens. Over the years, I've worked with lots of little ones and I've learned lots of tips and tricks to capture beautiful images of your little one.
Patience...
At almost every newborn session I hear "you are so patient, I don't know how you do it", first off it took me over three years and lots of prayers to become a mom, I know exactly how precious each little life is and they are worth the wait! Secondly, that little miracle of mine that I prayed so long and hard for was not an easy baby and I learned a great deal of patience from her. Finally I know each baby is unique, I know how delicate they are and I am more than happy to take the time needed for you to nurse or soothe your baby to ensure we have a gallery full of beautiful images for you. And that shy two year old that has stranger anxiety, I'm totally fine with taking it slow until he warms up, and we can even play a game of ball before the session if that makes him comfortable.
Trust...
Nothing is more important to me than delivering the quality images you've trusted me to provide. I go above and beyond to ensure your expectations are met. I know these moments can not be repeated and I take that very seriously. Many clients return year after year as well as refer their friends which is the best compliment I can receive. You are welcome to read some of the kind words I've received in my "love letter" section. Additionally I am insured and use professional equipment to capture your images and even bring extra equipment in the unlikely event it is needed.
You Can Relax & We Have Fun...
As a new parent, or even the parent of a preschooler I know you are exhausted. The last thing I want is for you to worry about the details of your session. My sessions are very casual and I encourage you to sit back and relax. With older children I prefer to treat the session more like a playdate than a structured session. We will run around, cuddle up, sit and relax and just have fun. I want you to look back at your images and remember the fun you had together as a family.
You Will Have Beautiful Images...
You want to see beautiful images of your little one as you walk through your home, you want someone to help you walk through the process to select the images that will display beautifully in your home, you don't want your images to look like everyone else's. I can do that for you. Just as each child is unique, your session should be be too. I don't have a "formula" that is used to document your family. Of course I have a mix of images in mind to capture, but I let your little one take the lead and I follow with my camera. I don't believe in following trends or trying to duplicate another photographer's style. I'm often contacted by new moms when their little one is over the magic two week newborn age upset that it is too late. I can assure you that just because your baby is older than two weeks, it DOES NOT mean we can't get beautiful images. We may not be able to get the "newborn curl", but we will certainly have a gallery of beautiful images.
Investment
I know that you have many options when selecting the right photographer for your family. We each have our own style, skill set, quality, experience, equipment, business model, etc so it is impossible (and better yet not wise) to compare our services on price alone. I understand how precious these moments are and I'd love to be the photographer that is part of your family story, but only if I am the right fit for your family. Hopefully I've given you information that is helpful for you to make the right decision for your family.
